What a great time we had down south. Savanna had a cheer competition in Destin, Florida last weekend so we decided since we hadn't had much of a vacation in the last 2 years we would extend out time down there. We headed out on Easter Sunday toward Biloxi Mississippi. Right after Hurricane Katrina Duane went down to Pascagoula for 10 days for FEMA to help out their building department on damaged homes. He wanted to see how it had changed since then. We drove to Elizabethtown, Kentucky and stayed the night. Got up pretty early Monday morning and headed the rest of the way to the IP Casino Spa Resort in Biloxi. There we relaxed in the roof top pool, did a little gambling and site seeing in Pascagoula. So many beautiful houses were destroyed. Some were rebuilt but there were still plenty of vacant lots to be purchased.

Wednesday morning we checked out and headed to Fort Walton beach where we stayed at the Ramada Plaza Beach Resort. The room was a little dated but the pools and beach were fantastic. Got a little sunburned the first day but the warmth felt so good. The rest of our group arrived by Friday night where the team practiced at a rented gym.
